TV Series: Game Of Thrones "The Door"

This episode has shocked us all with our beloved Hodor's death. So I would like to dedicate a moment of silence to him, for his sacrifice has saved Bran Stark from the wights. And by the way, I'm still mourning over the death of yet another direwolf.

Now let's talk about some of the best scenes in this episode.

We all know that Littlefinger is not in the list of people who can be trusted. In this episode, we can see now that Sansa is no longer in good term with him. She asked him if he knows about Ramsay, a sadist psychopath. I'm not sure if he's really sorry or if he had another agenda to helping Sansa getting the North back. Nah, I bet he's not sorry.

You best be squirming, Littlefinger. Sansa is done with you.

Later in this episode, Sansa lied to Jon about how she got the information about the army in Riverrun. It's not very clear why she would lie to him. Is it because she doesn't want Jon to know about Littlefinger? Or does she wants to be the one in control this time? Is Sansa starting to be a bit like Littlefinger himself?

In Braavos, Arya is given assignment to kill a women named Lady Crane, a theater actress. So she set out to spy on her. There was a play, and people were all amused by it. But it was all fun and games until they started making fun of Arya's father.

The scene when Ned Stark is being decapitated.

Arya is not pleased.

And there she is Lady Crane. Ready to be killed. Enjoy your rum while you can.

While in the north of the Wall, Bran continues his journey through time and learned that Children of the Forest created the White Walkers. I know, it was a dick move. But to put it into perspective, the Children of the Forest were at war with humans, Their people were being killed, humans stole their lands, cut down their trees, and they had no weapons. They were desperate, So they created the White Walkers as a mean to fight humans. They created a White Walker by inserting something like a dragon glass dagger into a man's chest. Probably with some sort of magic. Does that explain why they can only be killed with a dragon glass, other than the Valyrian steel? Interesting.

How the White Walker was made. Thanks a lot, tree people.

Remember this weird spiral symbol the White Walkers left after they kill people? Now we know where it came from.

In the Iron Island, Yara wanted to claim the Salt Throne. But of course, those people don't want a woman to rule them. Although Theon totally agreed to have his sister as the Queen of the Iron Island despite him being the male and rightful heir, their uncle, Euron Greyjoy, entered the picture. After killing his brother, he wanted the Salt Throne. It's very nice to see Theon and his sister together in a fight. Their father was a dick, though, Good riddance.

And now Euron wants to kill his niece and nephew. Wtf.

Jorah finally told Dany that he loves her. That's very nice, Jorah the Andal, but you're sick. You can't be with her.

You better heal yourself, Jorah, or I'll feed you to my dragons.

As we all know, he's got the greyscale. He told Dany that he must go away but Dany, after banishing him twice before this, commanded him to heal himself and return to her. As far as I know, there is no cure for the greyscale disease. But remember Shireen? I think that's the closest he can get to getting a cure. I mean, he can't cure it, but the spreading can be stopped. Although the chance is very small since usually adults suffering from it end up dead. But let's not be negative.

While in Meereen, Tyrion and Varys meet a red priestess, Kinvara. The scene when she asked Varys if he remembered that night when he's got his private part cut and thrown into a fire really caught me. I never really cared about Varys except that he knows gossips. She said about him hearing a voice came from the fire. I wonder what voice. Could it be Bran's? But why would he hear Bran's voice? Why did he look so damn scared when the red priestess mentioned it?

When Kinvara asked Varys about personal stuff lol

I ship these two. We all need a little bit of romance to happen at the Wall. Enough said.

Tormienne/Brimund forevah!

Here it is, the scene that broke my heart into little pieces.

Hodor holding the door.

In this scene we can see that Wyllis a.k.a young Hodor is aware of Bran's presence. Bran (and us) finally learned why Hodor has a very limited vocabulary. While Bran was warging with the Three-Eyed Raven, he saw young Hodor. Meera who was fighting the wights yelled for Bran to wake up and warg into the adult Hodor to save them. So Bran, while his mind is in the past, warg into adult Hodor through the young Hodor.

Young Hodor sees Bran.

They all tried to run away, and Summer got killed by the wights in the process. The Night King killed the Three-Eyed Raven. Leaf sacrificed herself. And then Hodor, after they got out, Meera told Hodor to hold the door while she drags Bran away. She kept saying 'Hold the door' to Hodor, and suddenly it makes sense. The scene repeatedly go back and forth between the past and present, and we can see that the warging has taken its toll on young Hodor/Wyllis. "Hold the door" was the last message he heard before he died, and all this time he's been telling people how he's going to die. All that has led him to that one moment, to save his friends. It was a very emotional moment.

*Excuse me while I cry my heart out.*
