Movie: The Spectacular Now

First of all, this is no 500 Days of Summer. Here is a film about two high school seniors, Sutter Keely and Aimee Finicky, who are 18 year-old normal human being. Sutter lives in the now. He drinks a lot, lives with his mother, and his father was out of the picture. He got really drunk after splitting up with his ex-girlfriend, Cassidy. He met Aimee after he woke up from his hangover, laying in her yard. That's pretty much how things get started.
Other than the normalness of the characters, I find the script is rather...unappealing. It's not that I have anything against normalcy in film but I feel that there is nothing engaging about the script. It was a little dull, I might say. But thanks to the actors, both Miles and Shailene made the characters looked absolutely genuine.
The value, however, it showed the internal struggle of the character in particular part of his life. I watched as he learned about his family, friends, and himself. And more to add, I think Aimee is an interesting character even though we only get a peek of how her life is. The ending, let's just say it had an open end. It could be a happy ending or a sad ending. It could go either way it makes you wonder what happen next, in a good way. A heartbreaking, imperfect love story. A bit slow but still enjoyable.

Hi! So there's nothing much going to be around here. I read a lot. I read almost everything that has print on it. Everything from flowery romance to pretentious fiction to poetry. If you came here to stalk on my activities, then you've came to the wrong place. There's a special place for that but I'm not gonna speak of it here. Here is the place where I rant about books (mostly), musics, tv shows, movies, foods, and my personal opinion about all kind of stuff which I would like to share. I don't really share in real life, especially food. But I'll make this an exception (i'll share the pictures of food). So if you don't mind reading my rambles, fair warning; you may not be able to understand a single word I'm going to say because of my overflowing emotions. But just take the chance anyways. Oh this isn't a diary, just so you know.
